ARGO: American Revolutionary Geographies Online

The ambition was to provide an engaging and educational experience, seamlessly blending maps, interpretive essays, and interactives. The project aimed to not only disseminate historical information but also to foster curiosity and exploration, turning the site into a captivating portal for users seeking to delve into the rich tapestry of this pivotal period.

The primary challenge was to create a website that was not only informative but also inviting and easily navigable. To meet this goal, various interfaces were meticulously crafted to serve as entry points. Website visitors can explore by map facets, delving into specific features such as roads; by people, uncovering the individuals who shaped the era; by location, connecting geography with historical events; and by timeline, offering a chronological journey through key moments. This strategic design ensured that ARGO became a dynamic platform, sparking curiosity and providing diverse avenues for exploration, ultimately making the American Revolutionary War era accessible to a broad audience.
